Women's Project and Consultation files (1972-1985) contain correspondence, reports, presentations and papers, consultation resource material and evaluations, news releases, and newsletters regarding U.S.A. National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation (USANC) and Lutheran World Ministries (LWM) sponsored women's programs. Consultations were conducted largely in cooperation with the Lutheran World Federation's (LWF) Women's Desk. Files concern consultation arrangements and planning activities, consultation invitations and evaluations, discussion and analysis of consultation studies, LWF activities relevant to women. Budgetary issues, and consulation publications. Correspondents include USANC Office of Studies Director Virgil R. Westlund; LWM Office on Studies Directors Eugene L. Brand and David G. Burke; LWF Department of Studies staff including Eva Von Hertzberg, the Department's Secretary for Women in the Church and Society; USANC and LWM member church body officials, and consultation participants.
